Multi-objective location problem for bank branches

Although current technologies allow simple online banking transactions, it is vital to guarantee access bank branches both for customers and businesses. Banking branch interactions improve trust in institutions everyday situations emergencies. This research addresses the problem of location facilities. A set objective functions related socio-economic variables, geographical coverage bankers preferences are considered. multi-objective linear programming model proposed solve different versions considering a maximum radial distance coverage. The (mono/bi/multi) analyzed by varying values weights that then solved using AMPL Gurobi solver. case study carried out Santiago de Chile with data from local institution. In results, bank’s initial situation contrast solutions found later. analysis performed mono-objective, bi-objective, nature studied problem. all these cases, we changes structure as increases. can quickly obtain feasible according needs available resources, allowing replicate under similar conditions strategically established priorities.
